CONSULGAL/SISAQUA

September 22: Consulting, studies and projects

SISAQUA’s Studies & Projects Business Line develops master plans, preliminary and basic design, detailed studies and technology supply for water, wastewater and waste infrastructures. We specialized in:

  • Master Plans for water resources and waste management

  • Design of networks and treatment facilities for water and wastewater

  • Studies of network optimization, storm management and water leakage

  • Solutions to reduce WWTP sludge production and disposal

  • Diagnose and optimization of wastewater treatment plants

With emphasis in the Best Available Technology and on the Return of Experience that we collect from our Operation & Maintenance Business Line, we develop innovative and smart engineering solutions, tailor-made to the specific needs of each client.

As we operate and maintain water and wastewater infrastructures, we learn about safety, accessibility, design, durability, equipment efficiency and adequacy, robustness of solutions and maintenance demands.

We then use that knowledge to better concept the infrastructures that we design, adopting design solutions that render those infrastructures more ergonomic, efficient and durable, that is, easier and more economical to operate.

Sisaqua’s KNOWLEDGE CYCLE allows, thus, our clients to have at their disposal well designed infrastructures, with low operation costs and with an adequate technological fit.

September 23: Management and supervision of projects

September 24: Operation & Maintenance

In SISAQUA’s Operation & Maintenance Business Line we operate sanitation infrastructures, providing outsourced services ranging from technical assistance to full operation of water and wastewater networks, pumps, mains and treatment plants. We specialized in:

  • Operation & Maintenance of wastewater treatment plants;

  • Treatment process diagnosis and optimization

  • Solutions to increase efficiency and reduce operating costs

  • Design and execution of works to improve and adapt equipment and technology

  • Technical and economic advise for improved operation of WWTP

With an emphasis on the technical knowledge gained along our 20+ years of field experience and on the Return of Experience that we get from our Studies & Projects Business Line, we develop smart and innovative operational methodologies, specifically designed to each client’s needs.

As we provide detailed studies for infrastructures, we learn about design, technology, process control, equipment maintenance techniques, planning and contract management.

We then use that knowledge to better operate and economically improve the plants that we explore.

Thus, SISAQUA’s KNOWLEDGE CYCLE allows our clients to have well operated and adequately maintained plants, with low operational costs.

Tecnilab Portugal SA

September 22: Solutions for remote management systems

The wide knowledge of the several alternatives available in the market, allow us to present the best technical solutions in telemetering, tele management, automation, control and supervision systems for potable and waste water facilities, golf courses, irrigation systems, and can also be presented "turn Key" solutions, where are included electric and electromecanic instalations , water pumping stations automation, water treatment plants and waste treatment plants.

September 23: On-line Analyzing Systems

We delivered more than 40 complete systems along those years straight to optimize power plants efficiency and safety operation providing reliable samples to analyzers with very low maintenance.

Accurate and representative measurements allow operation staff to increase time between chemical cleanings, avoiding corrosion and deposits at the boiler pipes and turbine blades together with a chemicals dosing optimization.

To build a high quality system we combine state-of-the-art analyzers with a simple to use sampling system design according each particular boiler characteristics and process specifications.

We offer to our clients a package of fielf services like pre-commissioning, commissioning, construction supervision and after sales services done by high qualified and well trained technicians.

Costumers for Thermoelectric Fossil Power Plants, Cogeneration Plants, HRSG boilers, CCPP's driving their processes based on our solutions.

September 24: Valves and equipment for the efficiency of water networks

Tecnilab Portugal, SA, offers for pressure reducing solutions to assist utilities to reduce water loss to sustainable economic levels. Flucon 200 Valves can reduce system presure using thr following modes: Constant Control; Time Based Modulation; Demand Based Modulation and Remote Mode Based Modulation.

Each mode of operation offers different control characteristics and benefits which may be selected to meet budget and engineering requirements, providing a better sustainability in  water systems  distribution.

September 22: Drinking Water Safety Plans (DWSP)

A Drinking Water Safety Plan provides the framework for companies to consistently ensure that a water supply is reliable and safe through a proactive, risk based approach to the management of the water supply system, from source to tap.

By developing a Drinking Water Safety Plan, water suppliers will gain a thorough under-standing of their system, and take on a prevention approach rather than reactive.

Drinking Water Safety Plans will not prevent problems occurring, but will identify what problems can occur and provide an opportunity to deal with the cause before the incident happens.

If an incident occurs Drinking Water Safety Plans require that the company is prepared and in the face of diversity is able to deal with the problem with the support of other agencies/organizations, when necessary, in order to maintain the trust of their consumers.

September 23: Sanitation Safety Plans (SSP) in Portugal

A Sanitation Safety Plan is a practical step-wise framework to assess and manage risks associated with sanitation systems, reuse of wastewater, agriculture effluents, sludge, excreta and grey waters.

This approach can provide an objective assessment of health and environmental risks and can be used to prioritise the need for different interventions depending on the prevailing sanitation conditions.

Sanitation Safety Plans guide the development of policies and programmes to improve sanitation management. It accounts for the multiple institutional and stakeholders and the need for communication and collaboration with and between them.

September 24: Water Safety Plans (WSP) and Infrastructure Asset Management (IAM), an integrated approach!

A continuous supply of safe drinking water is fundamental to the service water companies provide to their customers.

Water Safety Plans are the most effective means of consistently ensuring the safety of a drinking-water supply (WHO, 2004).

Infrastructure Asset Management promotes sustainability and long term service reliability.

Adopting an integrated approach of WSP and IAM guarantees effective decision-making that ensures the desired performance at an acceptable risk level, taking into consideration the costs of building, operating, and maintaining the water supply system.

Ambidata ®  - Digital Innovation Solutions and Consulting

September 22: Presentation DigitalLabs - Digital Laboratory

We live in a new world with exponential changes! Laboratories and companies have to be aware and keep up with these changes or risk losing permanently the train and be overtaken by this digital modernity that makes the world go round.

- What influences do these changes have in our companies?
- What do we have to do, to prepare our businesses for the Digital World?
- What do we need to Change? And How?
- Who is somewhat receptive to these changes? Why?
- What are the implications that these changes have on what we are doing and how
   we are doing today?
- What do we have to do first? What actions do we have to adopt right now?

Unlike the concept of "Paperfree Laboratory" – Paperless Lab, the digital lab concept has had much success and acceptance in the less automated laboratory and technically demanding facilities.

For Ambidata ®, as well as for our customers and partners, the idea of paperless lab, has been, and is seen, as a utopia of implementation, impracticable for several reasons; thus, we created a different concept, the Digital Lab – DigitalLabs.

Water Innovation support for SME – leveraring the network of National Water Partnerships in H2020

To support European SMEs in the water sector, National Water Partnerships (NWPs) across Europe have joined forces in the European Innovation Partnership on Water (EIP/W) Action Group ‘DIS-SMEs’. Together they represent close to 1.100 members, primarily SMEs.

This session aims at presenting and discussing the strategy of the Action Group going forward and gathering input from SME representatives across Europe. The pillars of a proposed integrated work program for the next 3 years will equally be discussed. Experiences from SMEs in working in European projects will be shared, as well as opportunities for available business support that NWPs offer.
