CONSULGAL - Consultores de Engenharia e Gestão, S.A. and its national and international affiliated companies worldwide have, over the past 30 years, participated in the most important engineering projects performed in Portugal, as well as in some landmark projects developed in 4 continents, Europe, America, Africa and Asia. SISAQUA - Sistemas de Saneamento Básico, S.A., one of  the CONSULGAL Group companies, acts in the entire water value chain. From Consulting to Operations, SISAQUA detains full knowledge and capabilities to Design, Manage and Operate Water and Wastewater infrastructures.

SISAQUA's 200+ employees operate and maintain 35 wastewater treatment plants, with a total capacity of 235.000 m3/d, 110 pumping stations and more than 250 km of collection pipes. Service includes process control, laboratory analysis, sludge and solids management and disposal, regulation of energy, reactives and water consumption, statistical analysis of data to support decision and actions, equipment maintenance, rehabilitation of infrastructures and detailed studies and trials to improve efficiency. We are, thus, capable of offering a full range of services to our clients.

We also provide technical studies, basic and detailed design and works' supervision for water, wastewater and solid waste infrastructures. We develop environmental and hydric resources' studies, analyse project's quality and performance and provide technical support to our clients along the infrastructure life span.

Coupling Operation to Studies, allows to continuously feed the knowledge cycle. As we operate the plants we learn about safety, accessibility, capacity, design, equipment’s durability and adequacy, etc. We use such knowledge to better design the plants, which thus become easier to operate. This virtuous cycle is a trademark of our company.
